Long time no post!
I am finally all settled down in my new house in Florida.
Quite a change from my life in New England. The weather’s amazing, and I feel
like I’m on a tropical vacation every day. (That makes it a little bit hard to
keep on track with working!) But I’m starting to buckle down. It’s back to the
writing on Empress Game, planning to finish the first draft soon. No more excuses with the upheaval.
Starting today, not tomorrow, my goal is to write 1 page, 5
days a week.
My two critique partners are rocking goals as well. Diana
Botsford is revisiting her thesis novel, Critical Past, and reworking it from
page 1, streamlining, strengthening and overall magnificating an already
excellent book. Jen Brooks is revisiting the novel she wrote before World
Maker, Wishstone, and changing from third person over to first. Quite the
undertaking! She’s also reworking the romance to make it more prominent, and I
can’t wait to see what she does with that.
For now, here’s a picture of my adorable little house, and a
shot of my new baby, a rescue bulldog (appropriately) named Grace.
Cheers!
Grace
